Bologna Burns, Actiondays 11-14 march
Between March 11 and 12, about 50 education ministers from all over europe and beyond, will gather in vienna and budapest to celebrate the 10 anniversary of bologna process.(Infos in: fr, de, tr)
Considering the current situation, the autumn and winter occupations and the ongoing protests in many Universities in Europe, South Africa, California (articles Indymedia Los Angeles) - is this celebration a mockery for all of us.
The bologna process is directly linked to the lisabon treaty which enforces the eurpean unions psychotic plan the transform this habitat into the most competitive place in the world resourced by the “product” knowledge.

Not only has the Bologna-process clearly failed to achieve the agreed goals of improved mobility; it also led to more restrictions for students, teachers, employees and their studies to greater social selection of access to higher education in general. Therefore BA/MA system means the building of elites, and utilizes all their studies into a neoliberal commodity.
Because bologna means the instrumentalization of education and knowledge and employability is the new battle cry of capitalism.
The fact that the entire process is based on the understanding of education as only producing workforce dictated by the market is reflected in the agreed goals. Therefore our aim is not only to measure success or failure of the Bologna-process but furthermore to question the process and its foundations itself. Master and PhD as elite programs, which especially exclude women, introduction of study fees and under-financing of universities as well as de-democratization within the university system are obvious symptoms.
The difficult financial situation increases the corporate influence on education and scientific research. The university becomes mostly a place for cheap commercial research and therefore it destroys all forms of critique, free education and wider social struggle.
Under all those disastrous circumstances we see no reason for this illegitimate and elitist party to take place anywhere.
Therefore the week from 8 to 12 March 2010 shall accompany this conference with demonstrations, strikes and blockades as well as a counter-conference, where we are going to discuss emancipatoric education policy, as well as the common goals of our protests.

Italiano: Vienna: mobilitazione studentesca contro il "processo
Un corteo attraversato da una buona partecipazione studentesca, di dimensione europea dinnanzi all'arrivare di tante delegazioni dall'Italia, dalla Germania, dalla Svizzera, etc. Che ha inoltre visto la partecipazione soprattutto della componente studentesca austriaca, che ha costruito la 4 giorni di mobilitazione contro il processo di Bologna. Quest'oggi i ministri dell'istruzione europei volevano lisciamente andare a celebrare quanto invece è fallito ed ha trovato dappertutto opposizione... ma, ovviamente, così non è stato!
Bloccato il centro della capitale austriaca: la manifestazione ha attraversato la metropoli, sanzionando banche e agenzie interinali, appendendo e calando striscioni su palazzi e luoghi simbolici, portando la contestazione davanti il parlamento, finendo la marcia fino ai margini del palazzo imperiale che ospita le tristi e blindate celebrazioni, proseguendo bloccando le strade con blocchi nati da cortei selvaggi e non autorizzati!
Poi prenderanno il via workshop e seminari nelle facoltà occupate, sempre gridando quanto è stato tra i leit motiv del corteo: "Di chi è l'università? E' nostra l'università!"

Bologna den Prozess machen!
Vom 11. bis 12. März 2010 werden die BildungsministerInnen 46 europäischer
Staaten zur 10-Jahres Jubiläumskonferenz des Bolognaprozesses nach Wien und Bu-
dapest geladen.
Bologna was geht mich das an?
Du bist nicht der/die Einzige der/die mit dem Schlagwort „Bolognaprozess“ nichts an-
fangen kann. Das geht vielen so. Kein Wunder! Fast alle EU-weiten Reformen werden
hinter verschlossen Türen geplant und durchgezogen. Der „Bolognaprozess“ ist ein
politisches Vorhaben das Bildungssystem (insbesondere die Unis) noch weiter auf die
Interessen der Wirtschaft auszurichten. Das heißt es geht nicht darum
mündiges, krititsches Lernen zu fördern oder etwas für sich zu lernen, sondern für den
späteren Beruf bzw. um wirtschaftlich nützliche Arbeitskräfte zu produzieren.
Bolognaprozess heißt, dass auch bei deiner Bildung gespart wird!
Das gesamte Bildungssystem soll noch verschulter und an dem Profitsystem der „frei-
en Wirtschaft“ orientiert werden. Die finanziellen Mittel für diesen Prozess kommen
sowohl aus verschiedenen Bereichen des Bildungssystems, obwohl dort schon massiv
eingespart wurde, als auch aus der Privatwirtschaft, die damit immer mehr Einfluss
auf die Bildungsinhalte gewinnen. Diese Einsparungen betreffen auch Schulen – was
unter anderem zu überfüllten Klassen und überarbeitetem und genervtem Lehrperso-
nal führt!
Wir (SchülerInnen) wollen selbst bestimmen, wenn es um unsere Zukunft geht! Wir
möchten mitreden wie sich das Bildungssystem entwickelt und lernen können
was wir für wichtig halten, nicht was „der Wirtschaft“ dient.
Vielleicht hast Du Dir mal überlegt später zu studieren...
Die stark verschulten Studienpläne, die Mindeststudienzeit, überfüllte Hörsäle, usw.
machen die Bedingungen dafür immer schwieriger und den Druck noch größer. Das
dreistufige Studiensystem – Bachelor / Master/ PhD – erhöht den sozialen Druck. Für
Menschen mit wenig Geld, wird das studieren schwieriger bzw. verunmöglicht. Wäh-
rend der Bachelor einer großen Zahl zugänglich sein soll, verdünnen sich Master und
PhD zu einem StudentInnen- Elitenprogramm, dass vor allem Frauen ausschließt.
Wir bestimmen selbst und richten uns direkt gegen diese neoliberale Politik,
in welcher Menschen als unmündig erklärt werden und ökonomische
Werte über allem stehen. Nutzen wir die Gelegenheit um deutlich unsere
Meinung(en) zu sagen, denn wir müssen unsere Stimme nicht abgeben!
Werden wir aktiv und sprechen wir selbst!
Kommt am 11.03. zur Großdemo für eine freie kritische Bildung & zum
Gegengipfel 12.-14.03. am Unicampus Wien!

Für die gemeinsame Anreise nach Wien zur Bologna-Demo und zum Alternativgipfel wurde ein Bolognaburns-Sonderzug organisiert. Die ÖBB hängt für uns Extra-Waggons dran. Los geht’s am 11.3. um 9:30 in Innsbruck, zurück am 13.3. um 12:50. Die Mitfahrt ist gratis!
